Bowen Technique uses specific hands-on movements, these are very distinctive and are used on precise points on the body. It involves moving the soft tissue in a particular way. The technique uses a rolling type movement using the fingers, hands and /or elbow, depending on the area being worked on. It creates focus for the brain by stimulating the nerve pathways and tissue. The movement uses the slack of the skin to move the tissue underneath. Each movement will only cover a small area at a time.
Short breaks are included between movements, or sets of movements; the principle of resting the body for a couple of minutes is vital as it starts the process of repair and gives the body opportunity to formulate a neurological response from the brain, prompting it to make changes accordingly within the body.
The original Japanese (Shin form) of Reiki healing, coming directly from the Japanese lineage. It can be applied hands-on, hands-off or with distance healing.
Suitable for anyone who needs healing on any level; physical, mental or emotional. It is perfect for those unable to tolerate touch therapies and doesn’t require clothing to be removed.
Reiki is an energy healing treatment that works holistically; on the whole body, mind and spirit. It is not a system of religious beliefs, Reiki is simply a relaxing treatment where natural healing vibrations are transmitted through the hands of a Reiki practitioner (acting as a conduit) to the body of the recipient.
The purpose of Reiki treatment is to relieve stress and pain, induce relaxation, release emotional blockages, accelerate natural healing, balance subtle body energies and support other medical needs including traditional therapies.
